Dr Skerman graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993. Andrew has post graduate specialist qualifications in General Practice and diplomas in operative Obstetrics and Rural Medicine. He has completed post graduate course in skin cancer medicine. Dr Skerman has worked in a variety or practice locations in rural Queensland, Canberra and Brisbane. Andrew has recently moved to Sydney following his wife’s appointment as College Principal to Santa Sabina College
His special areas of interest include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment- excisions, electrocautery and cryotherapy, minor surgery (including excisions of lipomas, ingrown toe nails, cysts etc) and women’s health/obstetrics having previously been a practicing GP obstetrician. Procedures include IUD-Mirena/copper coil and Implanon insertion). Men's and child health.
Dr Skerman is experienced in and enjoys all aspects of general practice.
His personal interests include boating, cycling and running.
Andrew has 2 children currently completing tertiary studies.
